职位描述/要求：
Job Location: DuPont China R & D Center

Brief Job Description:

This position has dual responsibility as R&D engineer to CR&D and liaison to Bio Specialty business-Applied Biosciences. The engineer is expected to be technically competent that requires minimal technical guidance. As a member of a research team the engineer is expected to network, coordinate and collaborate with other team members that are remotely located. The engineer will interact and work with potential customers and collect basic engineering data from their manufacturing facilities. Some of the process engineering responsibilities include but are not limited to:

-Develop conceptual design
-Conduct material and energy balance
-Develop flowsheets and P&ID’s
-Size process equipment,
-Prepare details scope of work and capital cost estimate,
-Work with customer/partner plant engineers to design and implement new facilities and upgrade existing processes
Interface with customers, partners, suppliers and vendors
-Visit and select potential customers/partners
-Help technology transfer from lab to a pilot scale
-Provide technical support for technology license activity

Minimum Skills Required

-Strong technical background with a B.S. or M.SC. in Chemical Engineering and strong understanding of unit operations.
3 to 5 years of practical experience in either manufacturing or R&D.
-Experience with basic data development, scale up of chemical processes, development of process flowsheet and development of P&ID’s.
-Ability to size process equipment and write equipment specification.
-Experience working in and with manufacturing organizations.
-Demonstrated oral and written English as well Chinese communication skills.
-Demonstrated ability to work with as part of team with R&D, manufacturing, engineering and business personnel.
-Highly independent, self starter who requires minimal technical guidance.
-Demonstrated ability to use electronic information systems including personal computers and spreadsheet applications.
-Willingness to work off hours to meet with remote location team members via electronic communication.
-Willingness to travel frequently
